The Tower
"The Tower, published annually in the spring and thrice online during the school year, is the University’s student literary and arts magazine. Filled with creative works by writers and visual artists, it celebrates the ways students express themselves. All students are encouraged to submit to the publication; submissions are invited during the fall and spring semesters. The Editor will select editorial staff readers each year. The Tower has been showcasing Montevallo students' work since 1932. It is freely distributed on campus. Current issues are available in buildings around campus, especially on the 2nd floor of Comer Hall."
The Alabamian
"The Alabamian has been UM’s student newspaper since 1924 and covers a wide variety of local news, features and entertainment. We take pride in providing a forum for the views of members of our community and accurately reporting the news to our readers. The Alabamian gives aspiring journalists, copy editors, photographers and page designers a publication for developing skills, and making friendships that last a lifetime!"
Vallo Vault
Vallo Vault is UM's digital archives and scholarship hub. It includes faculty and student scholarship. The Vault features collections of undergraduate research, specifically the McNair Research Journal and Undergraduate Research Day. All McNair Research Journal articles are added after the online publication of the issue. And students are encouraged to submit their Undergraduate Research Day projects for inclusion. The library reaches out each year to invite UR Day participants to submit their projects to Vallo Vault so they can be shared with a wider audience.
