Hours for Fall Term 2024 

 

Monday - Wednesday 8:00 AM to midnight*
Thursday 8:00 AM to midnight
Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Sunday 2:00 PM to midnight*

*24 Hour Library on the Ground Floor : Beginning Tuesday, September 3rd, the ground floor of the library will be open for studying 24-hours-a-day from 2pm Sunday through 11:59pm Thursday. Only currently enrolled UM students permitted. UM ID required for entry. Learn more here.

Exceptions:

  • The library will be closed Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, August 31st through Monday, September 2nd). It will reopen on Tuesday, September 3rd at 8am.
  • Veteran's Day - The library will close at 10pm on Sunday, November 10th and will remain closed through Monday, November 11th.
  • Thanksgiving Holiday - The library will close at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26th and remain closed through Saturday, November 30th.

Carmichael Library is located on the University of Montevallo campus, which is approximately 30 miles south of Birmingham and 60 miles north of Montgomery.

Where to Park
